Boss & Olly – Hiring for Pet Expo & Beyond!

We are expanding our team in preparation for Pet Expo (April 25-27, 2025)—our biggest event of the year! We’re looking for passionate individuals to join us in various roles, both temporary and potentially long-term.

Here's a recap of what went down with the team at last year's PetExpo!

1. Backend Support – Inventory (Temporary, March–April): 2 vacancies

✅ Role:

- Assist with inventory sorting, pricing, and packing for Pet Expo.
- Help with stock arrangement, booth setup, and product display during April 23-24 setup days.
- Work alongside the Inventory Lead during Pet Expo to manage stock across expo booth, studio, and warehouse.
- Support post-event unpacking, tallying stock, and reorganizing the studio on April 29/30.

✅ Duration:

- Mid April till April 22: stock prep (pricing, tagging, repackaging)
- April 23-24: booth setup
- April 25-27: manage event stock
- April 29/30: post-event stock tallying and reorganising

✅ Ideal Candidate:

- Organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with manual tasks (up to 8-10kg).
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of staying on their feet for extended periods during the Pet Expo, including walking back and forth between the studio and booth to restock inventory and move goods as needed.

2. Marketing – Graphic Designer (Freelance/Part-Time) : 1 vacancy

✅ Role:

- Support the Marketing Lead with event marketing materials (social media graphics, EDMs, website banners, event posters, brochures, event backdrop).

- Assist in content creation—help film or be featured in social media/TikTok content if needed.

-Take lifestyle images according to our brand aesthetics to supplement the reels for social media content.

✅ Duration:

- March–April, possibly longer if suitable.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

- Proficient in Adobe Suite/Canva.
- Creative, able to align with Boss & Olly’s brand aesthetics.
- Animation skills (added advantage)
- Comfortable appearing in social media content (added advantage).

3. Operations – Order Fulfillment & Personalization (Part-Time, March–April, Potentially Permanent): 2 vacancies

✅ Role:

- Pack orders and dispatch them.
- Apply name personalizations to dog harnesses (training provided).
- Work at the personalization station during Pet Expo (April 25-27).

✅ Duration:

- Training begins in March.
- Work intensity increases in April and during the event.
- April 29: complete remaining orders and dispatch them.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

- Hands-on, fast learner, detail-oriented.
- Able to work under stress, both independently and as part of a team.

4. Sales & Event Staff (Temporary, April 23-27): 12 vacancies

✅ Role:

- Be the face and voice of Boss & Olly at Pet Expo
- Assist customers with product recommendations, harness sizing, purchases, and promotions.
- Help manage checkout, personalization requests, and customer service.

✅ Duration:

- April 23-24 (booth setup): 2 pax -team leads
- April 25-27 (event days): 10 pax + 2 team leads
- Mandatory 1-day training in mid-April.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

- Friendly, proactive, and great at engaging with pet owners.
- Team player, punctual, responsible, honest.
- Must be comfortable and familiar with handling pets.
- Prior experience working at a pet event (added advantage).
- Comfortable appearing on social media content (added advantage).

5. Crafting Assistant – Rope & Biothane Accessories (Part-Time, March–April, Potentially Permanent)

✅ Role:

- Craft rope and biothane pet accessories pre-event (training provided).
- If available, assist in handling custom orders enquiries during Pet Expo
- Crafting custom orders after the event.

✅ Duration:

- March–April, possibly longer if suitable.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

- Crafty, hands-on, enjoys working with materials and tools.
- Able to work with precision and quality control.
- Prior crafting or handmade product experience is a plus.

- Must be Singaporean/PR.
- Work Location: Primarily at Singapore Expo.
- Added Advantage: If comfortable appearing in social media/TikTok content.
